SYSTEM 7703
SINGLE WAY RADIO PERSONAL
ATTACK SYSTEM
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The 7703 radio personal attack
system is ideal for use in all types of financial, industrial or commercial
premises where staff need the security of a personal attack alarm and also
the freedom of mobility. They are also suitable for fixed positions,
and, as the system is devoid of interconnecting wiring, any alteration
can be carried out quickly and inexpensively. False alarms caused
by damage to traditional 24 hour live personal attack wiring circuits are
totally eliminated.
Consisting of a compact receiver
unit and up to 48 transmitters, the standard 7703 UHF radio personal attack
system has a typical range up to 250 metres. All transmitters including
the fixed money clip are powered by an Alkaline battery giving a minimum
of one year battery life. Standard transmitter features include:
Dual action buttons for "full
alarm' transmission
Secondary single action
button for local or ancillary alarm Optional 3 button or any combination
of the 3 buttons operation for full alarm generation
The system complies with
all current British Standards for both Radio
Signalling and Intruder
Alarms and fully complies with police requirements.
The 7703/P version has a
self-contained power supply unit with space available for a rechargeable
battery.
7703/S - UHF Single Zone
Radio Receiver - 12v operation (including Supervisory Calling Facilities
- e.g. Transmitter Polling and Secure Radio Link).
7703/SP - As 7703/S inc.
PSU and Mains Fail Relay Output.
The IRIS (Intelligent Radio
Information System) radio personal attack system is ideal for use in all
types of financial, industrial or commercial premises where staff need
the security of a personal attack alarm with the freedom of mobility. The
transmitters are also suitable for fixed positions, and as the system is
devoid of interconnecting wiring, any alteration can be carried out quickly
and inexpensively.False alarms caused by damage to traditional 24 hour
live personal attack wiring circuits are totally eliminated.
Up to 256 transmitters,
each individually identified by the receiver make up the standard IRIS
UHF personal attack system. Each transmitter is uniquely coded and cannot
be duplicated. Every event is time and date stamped, held in an incident
log and viewable from the LCD display.
The IRIS radio system supports
numerous other integrated devices for gathering information from fixed
or portable alarm inputs. This information can then be displayed locally
on the receiver or used to send onward signals via an alarm transmitter.
It can also send a information directly to an EMS on-site message paging
system or communicate its information via a serial link to other EMS control
systems or colour graphics systems.
The system complies with
all current British Standards for both Radio Signalling and Intruder Alarms
and fully complies with police requirements.

dual action buttons for 'full alarm' transmission.
Secondary single action
button for local or ancillary alarm.
Transmitter tamper.
A discrete radio personal
attack transmitter designed to be worn on a chain or carried on a key fob.
The unit can be operated
in 2 ways: single action using either button to create a local alarm; dual
action using both buttons together to create a full alarm.
The primary function of the
Medi-Tilt radio transmitter is to offer protection for the wearer by reacting
should they fail to return to an upright position after a 'down' period
greater than 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the unit enters a pre-transmission
cycle, which includes 2 audible warnings for the wearer, prior to transmitting
a radio alarm signal.
1. After 15
seconds, the unit bleeps at a rate of 2 bleeps per second for 8 seconds.
2. If not returned
to the vertical position, the bleeps double in frequency for a further
8 seconds,
indicating the unit will shortly transmit.
Unless returned to the vertical
position, the unit then transmits both a full radio alarm signal and a
continuous audible tone for 27 seconds. At the end of this period, it returns
to the pre-transmission cycle where the audible warning tones assist in
locating the wearer.
The unit also acts as a
normal portable hand transmitter with both local and full alarm facilities,
activated when the standard buttons are pressed. When required, the unit
can be enhanced by the addition of a code wheel, giving the user an additional
8 code changes. The different codes, when allocated to various areas to
be patrolled, indicate to the control room the route taken by the patrol
and also pinpoint the wearer's position should an alarm call be transmitted.
Suggested Applications.
For maintenance workers in
hazardous areas.
Single operator patrol situations,
where the base receiver can be connected to a remote signalling system.
Security guards, prison
officers or nursing staff, although where duties are considered 'high risk',
audible warning of the tilt mechanism is not recommended.
Unsupervised employees -
lab staff - fork-lift truck drivers - warehousemen etc. |
