EMS Addressable Detector

The reliability of an addressable fire alarm is primarily based on the automatic detection devices incorporated into the system. In the development of System 5000 Ziton analogue smoke and heat detectors were uniquely designed to operate at 3.4V.

The wide variety of installations protected by these detectors and the flexibility to the designer of the sensitivity settings were major factors in our selection.

All detectors are in a 3-part set of sensor, base-plate and processor/transmitter/battery board. Detectors report to the controller on VHF 173 MHz with verification (6-9 minutes), contamination levels, remaining battery life and radio signal strength. The battery boards have a typical life of 5 years.
